MEET THE TEAM

Behind the scenes.

Aron Ross

Account Manager

I’ve worked in the music industry all my life starting as a sound technician in Auckland, New Zealand, and working my way to the UK, touring the world as a Tech, Engineer, and Production Manager.

It’s great to be part of a company filled with like-minded people who come from a technical background and are focused on providing the best service and equipment packaged and presented the way touring crews want it.

I look forward to giving my full attention to every client as we continue to build on the solid foundations of Bassline Beats Productions and deliver an excellent, personal service.

Account Manager

My journey in production started with a mis-sent fax in 1996 and has led to nearly 30 years of incredible experiences in the industry, I’ve been fortunate to work with top tier companies and talented people worldwide.

After a rewarding time at Church House Westminster achieving my personal targets and leaving the business in a good position for 2025, I’m thrilled to be back on the road managing exciting events with Bassline Beats Productions.

Ben ‘Welchy’ Welch

Technical Director

I’ve been into audio and gear since I was about six. I was always pulling stuff apart, messing with wires, and trying to figure out how it all worked. My parents saw I was obsessed early on and backed me all the way. They were driving me to gigs when I was too young to drive or even be in the venues.

I spent years working as a freelancer for all sorts of AV companies. Some were good, but a lot weren’t. Badly packaged kit, inexperienced crews, and charging clients top money for half-arsed service. That’s why we started Bassline Beats Productions. We’re just a bunch of engineers who care about doing things properly. Good gear, good people, and a proper job every time.

Operations & Finance Director

You’ll usually find me in the warehouse with a cup of tea in hand, making sure everything’s prepped, packed, and ready to roll.

My first gig was helping my son at a pub when he was 14. I had no idea what I was doing. He turned to me and said, “Dad, we’ve got a problem,” and I thought, “Oh no, here we go.” Turned out all he needed was batteries. Quick trip to the Co-op sorted it. Prior to me coming on full-time, I worked as a site manager on construction sites, and I’m an experienced carpenter, so I know how to keep things built properly, loaded safely, and run by the book.

Health and safety isn’t a box-ticking exercise to me. It’s how we keep everyone going home in one piece.

What people are saying

Superb service from Bassline Beats at a recent event in Bridport, head engineer 'Welchy' delivered a 1st class sound with a 1st class set up, a professional transaction from start to finish going out their way to make sure the event ran smooth from advancing, to load in, to build, to event, a 1st class sound execution.

Kevin Bailey (The Pad Presents)

Damien did a great job with a really average in house pa and limited resources available for an 8 piece Ska band. Monitors were non-existent really but not his fault, FOH sounded great so at least the punters enjoyed themselves and that’s the main thing.

Orange Street (Engineering, no equipment provided)

Ben engineered my band Stone Groove at Spirefest and did an excellent job. He has excellent equipment and a brilliant, helpful can do attitude. Highly Recommended.

Stone Groove (Engineering and equipment provided)

Ben hired out one of Bassline Beats new stock DPA Core headsets for a high profile act visiting our venue. Excellent professional service, would recommend for sound hires and services. Thanks Ben!

Michael Scott (Salisbury Playhouse)

I worked with Welchy on a job in Ashley Cross as part of FCL. For this job we used Bassline Beats Allen & Heath SQ5 and stagebox which allowed us to get the job done in a quick and professional manner with good feedback from the bands and artists we were mixing for. As well as the high quality kit, it was also a pleasure to work with Welchy - a awesome guy who also knows his stuff! This goes to show a great team + great equipment = great show. Overall great day all round and would recommend Bassline Beats Productions!

Joe Hughes

Ben Ballard
